National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) at the International Institute of Nursing & Research is a proud initiative inspired by the core principles of community service and nation-building. The NSS was established in 1969 to commemorate Gandhiji’s Centenary year. At our institute, NSS serves as a platform for young minds to contribute actively to societal welfare, fostering a meaningful connection between the campus and the community.

Objectives of NSS:

  • Help students understand the dynamics of the community they serve.
  • Encourage self-discovery in relation to the needs of their community.
  • Identify and address the needs and challenges faced by the community, and actively participate in solving them.
  • Foster a strong sense of social and civic responsibility.
  • Apply theoretical knowledge to devise practical solutions for individual and community welfare.
  • Develop skills essential for teamwork, group living, and shared responsibilities.
  • Learn the art of mobilizing community participation effectively.
  • Cultivate leadership qualities and a democratic mindset.
  • Build resilience to respond to emergencies and national disasters.
  • Promote the principles of national integration and harmony.
Activities:
The NSS unit of our institute conducts a variety of regular activities aimed at holistic student development and community enrichment. These include:
  • Leadership training and personality development programs.
  • Campaigns promoting a healthy lifestyle and mental well-being.
  • Environmental awareness drives, including rallies and tree plantation initiatives.
  • Celebration of National Days with a spirit of patriotism and unity.
  • Social awareness campaigns on issues like health, sanitation, and education.
  • Participation in disaster relief and community support initiatives.
Through these activities, the NSS unit at the IINR remains committed to nurturing socially responsible and empowered individuals, ready to contribute to the betterment of society.

National Cadet Corps (NCC)

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a premier voluntary organization dedicated to shaping disciplined, responsible, and service-oriented individuals. NCC instills in cadets a strong sense of duty towards the community and the nation while promoting values of secularism, hard work, and selfless service. By fostering camaraderie and leadership, NCC creates a vibrant network of youth ready to contribute positively to society.

AIMS of NCC:
The NCC at the International Institute of Nursing & Research aspires to:

  • Foster character development, discipline, comradeship, and leadership qualities among students.
  • Cultivate a secular outlook, a spirit of adventure, and the ideals of selfless service.
  • Build a trained and motivated human resource pool ready to lead in all walks of life and actively serve the nation.
  • Provide an environment that encourages youth to explore career opportunities in the Armed Forces.
Objectives of NCC:
At the International Institute of Nursing & Research, the NCC aims to:
