Nutrition in Action: IINR Nutrition Program 2025 | GNM 1st-Year Students Promote Healthy Living Through Creative Learning
Learning Beyond Books: A Practical Approach to Nutrition Education
The International Institute of Nursing & Research (IINR) recently organised a vibrant and educational Nutrition Program featuring the creativity and enthusiasm of GNM 1st-year students. The event aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application by encouraging students to plan and prepare balanced, nutritious, and delicious meals.

Under the guidance of faculty members, students showcased their understanding of dietary principles, nutritional values, and meal planning tailored to different age groups and health conditions. From traditional Indian thalis to modern healthy platters, every display reflected innovation, teamwork, and deep nutritional insight.
This hands-on learning experience helped students understand the vital role of nutrition in maintaining health and preventing diseases — a cornerstone of effective nursing care.
Empowering Future Nurses with Wellness Awareness
The program not only tested the students’ academic understanding but also enhanced their communication, presentation, and teamwork skills. Judges evaluated the presentations based on creativity, balance, and nutritional accuracy, making the event both engaging and educational.
Through such interactive learning sessions, IINR continues to nurture holistic development among its nursing students — empowering them to become compassionate caregivers who understand the importance of health, diet, and lifestyle in patient care.
The event concluded with appreciation and encouragement from faculty members, motivating students to apply their nutritional knowledge in both professional and personal life.
