Nasha Mukti Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan at AIIMS Kalyani

Empowering Future Healthcare Professionals for a Drug-Free and Developed India

The International Institute of Nursing and Research (IINR) proudly participated in the “Nasha Mukti Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan”, an awareness programme organized by the AAMRA GOURAB FOUNDATION at AIIMS Kalyani on 2nd August 2026. The event was held at Yamuna Hall from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM, bringing together students, educators, and social leaders to promote the vision of a healthier, drug-free nation.

A total of 50 IINR students enthusiastically took part in the programme under the guidance of Mr. Rakesh Sinha, while the session was led by renowned resource person Rahul Ghatak. The initiative aimed to educate and inspire young minds about the harmful effects of substance abuse and the importance of making responsible lifestyle choices.

Throughout the programme, participants engaged in informative discussions, awareness sessions, and interactive activities focused on the role of youth in nation-building. The speakers emphasized how young people can contribute to creating a society free from addiction while actively participating in India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation.

The event provided students with valuable insights into the social, psychological, and health-related consequences of drug abuse. It also encouraged them to become ambassadors of positive change within their communities by spreading awareness and supporting preventive measures against addiction.

As future healthcare professionals, the nursing students gained a deeper understanding of their responsibility in promoting public health and educating society about the dangers of substance abuse. Their active participation reflected IINR’s commitment to developing socially responsible and community-oriented healthcare leaders.

The programme concluded with a collective pledge to support the mission of a Drug-Free India and contribute towards the vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India). Such initiatives continue to inspire students to become proactive citizens who can make meaningful contributions to society and public health.

Through participation in awareness programmes like this, IINR remains dedicated to nurturing compassionate healthcare professionals who are committed to the well-being and progress of the nation.
